(your club name) is a member of General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Connecticut, Inc. There are 48 General Federated Women’s Clubs in Connecticut . General Federation of Women’s Clubs of Connecticut, Inc. met in January at Heritage Hotel and Conference Center , Southbury.
President JoAnn Calnen presided and Officers and Committee Chairmen reported on the status of their committees. Club Presidents gave a 2 minute speech on their club’s #1 memorable project in 2010. Each club submitted written reports of all their projects of 2010.
Members attending donated an album or a disposable camera for the Digital Reflections Project for Children in Placement. Children will be able to create photo history with these items. General Federation of Women’s Clubs American Mural Project was discussed. Watches are being collected for Mural to show the time that GFWC members volunteer .The American Mural Project is a celebration of American ingenuity, productivity, and commitment to work. It is a work in progress in Winsted, CT. GFWC New England Region Conference will be held September 23-25, 2011 in Mystic, CT.
