RE: General Federstion of Women's Clubs of CT Senior Art High School Art Contest March 14-16, 2008

Dear (Art Teacher, Principal, or Department Head) :

The (name of local club) . a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs of Connecticut,
is sponsoring a statewide art contest for High School Seniors, and we hope that you
will encourage your most talented Seniors to participate.
Enclosed are the categories and rules for the GFWC/CT High School Senior Art Contest, and I would be more
than willing to answer any questions you may have. I may be reached at the telephone number
listed below.
I will be in touch with you to discuss the Art Contest further, and to make
arrangements with you for pickup of the art entries so that they can be transported from your school to the Alzheimer's Resource Center of Connecticut,
1261 South Main Street (Route 10), Southington, CT. on Friday, March 14, 2008. The judging is scheduled to take place on March 15, 2008 with public
viewing Sunday, March 15 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There will be a reception to be held during the public viewing for anyone attending.
I do suggest you encourage your students to attend the Sunday viewing/reception which in the past has been quite impressive and well attended

Monetary awards will be given Best in Show and
First, Second, Third, and Honorable Mention.
