GFWC/CT Women's Club of Madison Inc

Organized 1900 Federated GFWC 1902

Welcome to our web site!

We are the Women's Club of Madison, Inc. We have a long and proud history. From our founding 102 years ago, the Women's Club of Madison Inc. has been ahead of our time. In 1900, we assisted in the foundation and early development of Scranton Library, staffed and supported local charities and worked for the suffrage of women.

Now, we provide scholarships, we are volunteers in a variety of state and local settings, we support schools, and the arts. We purchase and donate equipment for the fire department, the rescue squads and the town recreation department. We also train the babysitters and contribute to multiple local charities.

We are proud of our history, and our traditions; we welcome all interested women of Madison and the surrounding towns. We offer multiple levels of participation.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month except July and August.

The Womens Club of Madison is a member of the General Federaton of Women's Club of CT (GFWC/CT) and the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) .
