Among the many charities we support with our fund raising activities are the United Way of Southington,Bradley Memorial Hospital, Bread for Life, Friends of the So. Public Library, So. Park & Recreation (Panthorn Park), and many more. We have just donated $1,000.00 to the Southington Library for new chairs. To celebrate the 1990 centennial of the GFWC International we raised $10,000.00 to beautify and rename a park becoming identified as "GFWC CENTENNIAL PARK" a source of community pride.

In 1997 we published a book titled "SOUTHINGTON'S SCULPTURE AND OTHER INTERESTING LEGACIES".

The restoration of the Soldier's Monument on the town green and the Rochambeau Monument in Marion was facilitated in 2000. It was culminated with a rededication of the Soldier's Monument on Memorial Day and a rededication of the Rochambeau Monument of July 4, 2000. We raised over $12,000 toward this project.

We also participate in presenting two high school scholarships. Through the State Federation, the club donates to the art contest for high school seniors and the Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) program for high school sophomores.

We participate in Operation Smile by making smile bags and hospital gowns.

Our monthly meetings are held the third Thursday, September through May at the Plantsville Congregational Church in Plantsville.
